We design eco-responsible furniture made in France from one of the byproducts of the brewing industry: spent grains (or draff).
We are furniture brewers. We design eco-responsible furniture made in France from the waste of malted grain used to brew beer.
Last year in France, over 2 billion liters of beer were drunk. To brew this beer, over 600,000 tons of spent grains were produced.
This waste has become an ecological, economic and logistical headache for many brewers.
Faced with material shortages, dwindling resources and the use of petrochemical solutions, we wanted to rethink the way we design furniture.
That's why we've created a new recycling process that's free for brewers, good for the planet and innovative for the home.
No epoxy or plastic, we exploit the intrinsic qualities of spent grain to offer a product made from 98% natural recycled material.
To remain consistent with our low-carbon approach, no raw energy is used to create our material. We use waste heat from neighboring industries to provide steam for the drying process.
Our steel structures are manufactured just a few minutes from our warehouse in Nantes.
All our partners are located in France, and we work as much as possible with companies close to us to minimize transport.
Innovation is at the heart of our process, and we're already working on recycling new co-products. We look forward to presenting you with new alternatives to reinvent the furniture industry in France and Europe.
