The project
The challenge for transforming this historic place into a hotel establishment was also the occasion to renew the ties between the former hospital enclosure and its city. The ambitious project was entrusted partly to Jean-Philippe Nuel, together with the manufacturers Henryot & Cie, Petite Friture, Ligne Roset, Philippe Hurel and Rosello. The decoration of the bedrooms oscillates between the history of the place (slatted shutters, retro baths, leather bedheads, and embroidered throws) and contemporary elegance (some open-plan bathrooms, mirror effects, or inhabited walls down the length of the room). A universe of contrasts that is reiterated throughout the project.

“I’m on a quest for meaning and truth, seeking, doubtless, to prove that decoration is not superficial but, on the contrary, a living expression rooted in its time. »
